Privacy Policy

2.1 Information We Collect

• Account information: email address, display name/handle, avatar (if provided), and a password (hashed, never stored in plain text) or OAuth authentication token if you sign in with Google.
• Usage data: the pools you join, picks you make, chat messages you send, and similar in-app activity, so we can operate the Service (standings, scoring, history).
• Technical data: browser/OS information and IP address, collected automatically (e.g., when you submit a bug report) for troubleshooting and security purposes.

We do not collect or store your card details. If you subscribe to Players Club, payment is handled by our payment processor, which collects your payment information directly; Pooldit records only whether your account is on the free or Players Club tier and when that last changed.

2.2 How We Use Information

To operate and improve the Service, authenticate your account, display your pools/picks/standings to you and (where applicable) other pool members, respond to support requests, and maintain the security of the Service.

We may also use de-identified, aggregated data derived from Service activity (e.g., pick patterns, pool outcomes, usage trends) — with personal identifiers removed — for internal purposes such as improving Pooldit's features, statistics, and predictive models, and for other internal research and analytics. This aggregated data does not identify you individually.

2.3 Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only: with other members of pools you join (your display name, avatar, and pick history within that pool, as the Service's core functionality requires); with service providers who help us operate Pooldit (e.g., hosting, authentication); or if required by law.

We may share or publish insights derived from aggregated, de-identified data (e.g., general pick trends or statistics) that does not identify any individual user.

2.4 Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting support@pooldit.com.

2.5 Children's Privacy

Pooldit is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 13. If we learn that we've collected information from a child under 13, we'll delete it. Users between 13 and 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

2.6 Your Choices

You can update your account information in Settings at any time, or contact support@pooldit.com to request access to or deletion of your data.

2.7 Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
