OfficeFootballPool alternative
If your group has run the same pool on OFP for years, you did not ask for this and you should not have to rebuild it from scratch. Pooldit is a free, play-money home for straight-pick football pools: your players never pay, running NFL, College Football and MLB straight-pick pools is free, and setting one up takes about a minute.
Play money only. Pooldit is not a gambling site — nothing is deposited, wagered, or cashed out here.
What's happening
As of August 2026, per their published transition guide, OfficeFootballPool will be fully retired after the NFL season. That is Splash Sports’ own statement in their help center — not a rumour, and not our reading of one.
The same guide explains why: RunYourPool and OfficeFootballPool have officially merged into a single home: Splash Sports. Pools that move over are moving to a platform offering, in its own words, both real-money and entertainment-only contests — with the real-money option carrying the entry-fee handling, payouts, compliance, payment processing, and live chat and email support.
For groups that only ever wanted to play for fun, two details are worth reading twice. Entertainment-only contests there now include a one-time service fee, and the guide states plainly that live customer support is not included for entertainment-only contests. Several entertainment-only formats are being discontinued outright rather than carried across — the guide names Season-Long Tiers, Season-Long Salary Cap and Golf Survivor, with past seasons viewable but not restartable.
None of that is a criticism of anyone’s business. It is the shape of the thing your pool is being moved into, and better known before the season than after.

The short version
That is the whole reason this page exists. Pooldit is play money by design — the opposite end of this category from a real-money contest site. Nothing to deposit, nothing to cash out, and we never touch whatever your group plays for among yourselves.
Playing is always free, in any pool and any format — no per-player fee and no charge to your players, which on a per-entry platform is the line item that quietly costs a commissioner the most. Running a straight-pick pool is free too — NFL, College Football and MLB, up to 3 at a time, with automatic scoring, locks at kickoff, live standings and a chat board included rather than upsold.
Pooldit is in open beta: every feature is free for everyone through October. From November 1, commissioners will pay $5 a month for unlimited pools across every league and format. Billing has not opened — every button on this page creates a free account today.
Formats
Whatever your group has been playing is almost certainly here, and it works the way you expect. Every card below opens that format’s own page, with the scoring, the tiebreakers and a worked example.
The one worth calling out: NFL and College Football in a single pool. Take the full slate from both, or curate exactly the games you want. A Saturday-and-Sunday pool is the hardest thing to find anywhere else and a normal setup here — on straight picks, confidence, allowance or Pick X.
1 pt / correct
Straight-up picks, most correct takes the week. Free on NFL, College Football and MLB.
3-2-2 · 5-3-1 · custom
Weighted picks — more units on the games you trust. Straight up or against the spread.
1 pick / week
One team a week, never repeat a team, lose once and you are out.
dits per week
A play-money budget to spend across moneylines, spreads and totals, paid the way a book would pay it.
all X correct
Pick 4 to 7 games. Nail every one to take the pot; miss one and it cascades or carries.
NFL + College Football
Mix leagues in one pool — the full slate from each, or just the games you pick out of them.
auto-populated
Real consensus spreads, moneylines and totals fill your slate and update on their own.
never miss a week
Favorite, underdog, home, away — or build your own from conditions you believe in. Fills your sheet before the deadline.
Moving over
Three steps, and none of them is a migration project. Create a pool. Pick your format and leagues. Send one invite link to the group text you already use. Your players sign up free, and season history builds from there.
To be straight about the one thing we do not do: there is no import tool. We cannot pull your rosters, past standings or history off another platform, and we will not pretend otherwise on the page where you are deciding. What we can say is that setup takes about a minute, and everything from this season forward is kept — standings, results, past winners, and a season history that rolls over on its own.

It is being retired. Splash Sports’ own transition guide states that OfficeFootballPool "will be fully retired after the NFL season" and that PGA contests will continue exclusively on Splash Sports. That is their published position as of August 2026; the archived statement is cited in the source note on this page, and it is worth reading rather than anyone’s summary of it, including ours.
Per their transition guide, it depends on the format. Supported formats move to Splash Sports with rosters and history ported over, ready to restart there. Others are being discontinued — the guide names Season-Long Tiers, Season-Long Salary Cap and Golf Survivor as no longer offered as entertainment-only contests, with past seasons viewable but not restartable. Its format lists are written for the PGA season, so check your own format against the guide directly.
Playing is free, always — any pool you are invited to, no per-player fee, no cut of anything your group plays for. Running a straight-pick NFL, College Football or MLB pool is free too, up to 3 at a time. Pooldit is in open beta, so every feature is free for everyone through October; from November 1 commissioners will pay $5 a month for unlimited pools across every league and format. Billing has not opened yet — every button on this site creates a free account today.
No. Pooldit never takes, holds, or moves real money — there is nothing to deposit, nothing to wager, and nothing to cash out. Pools play for dits, an in-app play-money currency that keeps score of whatever your group already agreed on in the real world. Real spreads and odds are shown because they make the picks more interesting, not because anything is being staked here.
Ready when you are
Set it up free, send one link, and let the site do the scoring, the locks and the standings. If it is not for you, you have lost a minute.
