If OFP is shutting down under a pool your group has run for years, the questions are the same for every commissioner: your pool, your members, your history, and how the move works. This page answers each one. What's happening
As of August 2026, per their published transition guide, OfficeFootballPool will be fully retired after the NFL season. That is Splash Sports’ own statement in their help center — not a rumour, and not our reading of one.
The same guide explains why: RunYourPool and OfficeFootballPool have officially merged into a single home: Splash Sports. Pools that move over are moving to a platform offering, in its own words, both real-money and entertainment-only contests — with the real-money option carrying the entry-fee handling, payouts, compliance, payment processing, and live chat and email support.
For groups that only ever wanted to play for fun, two details are worth reading twice. Entertainment-only contests there now include a one-time service fee, and the guide states plainly that live customer support is not included for entertainment-only contests. Several entertainment-only formats are being discontinued outright rather than carried across — the guide names Season-Long Tiers, Season-Long Salary Cap and Golf Survivor, with past seasons viewable but not restartable.
None of that is a criticism of anyone’s business. It is the shape of the thing your pool is being moved into, and better known before the season than after.

What does not carry over
To be straight about the one thing we do not do: there is no import tool. We cannot pull your rosters, past standings, prior champions or old picks off another platform, and we will not pretend otherwise on the page where you are deciding.
Splash Sports’ transition guide says which formats carry rosters and history to Splash Sports, and its lists are written for golf; it names no football format. If your pool’s record book is the thing your group cares about most, check your own pool against that guide before you choose.
What it costs
On OFP, per its own home page: “On OfficeFootballPool, the Commissioner pays a small platform usage fee for each player who participates in a pool, each time the pool is run.”

The one worth calling out: NFL and College Football in a single pool. Take the full slate from both, or curate exactly the games you want. A Saturday-and-Sunday pool is the hardest thing to find anywhere else and a normal setup here, in any weekly format.

Which of these formats fits the pool you are moving
OfficeFootballPool, RunYourPool and Splash Sports are trademarks of their respective owners; Pooldit is not affiliated with them.
It is being retired. Splash Sports’ own transition guide states that OfficeFootballPool "will be fully retired after the NFL season" and that PGA contests will continue exclusively on Splash Sports.
